Realme introduced Realme 6 Series smartphones at an online event in India. The new Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are perhaps the two most impressive budget Android phones released by the brand, and boast quite a few best-in-class features and an attractive design.
The new Realme phones are equipped with displays with a frequency of 90 Hz, which provides a massive experience at the flagship level. The phones in the Realme 6 series are also equipped with a four-chamber rear camera equipped with the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 64-megapixel main sensor. Another impressive feature of these two phones is support for fast charging of 30 watts.
Realme 6 Pro combines a fairly advanced Snapdragon 720G processor with a universal set of cameras and a couple of really good selfie shooters. The phone looks and feels fantastic in the hand, and with some software optimization for the rear cameras, the Realme 6 Pro may be in the spotlight.
In the budget segment, competition is most intense, and Chinese players are in constant struggle. Among them, Realme, in particular, is in motion with a constant device release schedule, which is constantly increasing the rate. It works in favor of the company that the software complements the hardware. In fact, Realme X2 received the Best Smartphone Award for 2019, indicating how far the company has moved.
Realme 6 is equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD + display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a single hole in the display which houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Realme 6 Pro design: a little old and a little new
Realme has always done a good job of updating its designs, while maintaining a sense of familiarity with each subsequent generation of products. This is still true for Realme 6 Pro. The most noticeable change is the transition to a selfie camera in the style of a cutout in the screen. The Realme 6 Pro has a dual selfie camera that lets you switch to a wider view to capture more people in the frame.
Screen size is now 6.6 inches. The Full HD + display has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which should greatly facilitate the scrolling of the interface and games. Unlike some other phones, Realme 6 Pro supports a constant refresh rate of 90 Hz without a hint of a jump. The brightness levels of the display were more than sufficient for outdoor use.

The Realme 6 Pro is a premium touch, but the volume buttons are disappointing.
Overall, Realme has done basically a good job developing hardware. In addition to cheap volume buttons, the Realme 6 Pro is a premium toolbox that doesn't weigh too much in your hand and has good ergonomics to load.
What about the performance of the Realme 6 Pro?
The Realme 6 Pro is equipped with the new Qualcomm 720G processor, which was designed specifically for affordable mid-range devices. Based on the 8nm process technology, the 720G includes eight Kryo 465 cores. They are arranged in two clusters of two Cortex A76 cores and another cluster of six Cortex A55 cores to provide longer battery life. Meanwhile, the GPU is the Adreno 618.
Realme has a pretty good history of optimizing software for hardware. This continues to be the case here. General everyday usability at the highest level. The interface runs smoothly.
Performance in games was on top. I played several rounds of PUBG, and the phone easily stayed at the highest settings without stuttering. PUBG, however, only supports 60 Hz.
The biggest competitor to Realme 6 Pro is the recently released Poco X2. The latter boasts an even faster 120 Hz display. However, higher requirements for the GPU negate the benefits of an overclocked GPU on the Snapdragon 730G Poco X2 chipset.
All this suggests that you do not need to worry about performance. Realme 6 Pro should be able to handle everything you download it.
The 4300 mAh battery is slightly larger than the battery in Realme 5 Pro, and you can find that the phone maintains its working condition for a day and a half of full use.
When it's time to charge the battery, you can only greet the included 30W charger. The phone takes about an hour to go from 0 to 100%. There is no support for wireless charging, but you should not expect this from a budget gadget.
The phone also features Dolby Atmos support, Hi-Res Audio certification, dual-frequency GPS and ISRO ISIC satellite navigation system.
The phone is the first to ship with the Realme user interface out of the box based on Android 10. It even installed the relatively recent security patch in February. The realme user interface in its current form is nothing more than an updated version of Color OS.
There are many standard updates, such as a shade of notifications and redesigned badges. Full dark mode is also available.
Does Realme 6 Pro have a good camera?
A smartphone’s camera is more than a hardware feature. Computing photography and algorithms play a big role in shaping the images you can expect from your phone. Realme was quite consistent in this direction and constantly improved image quality in all directions. This time, the camera setup offers an ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, as well as a dedicated macro camera in addition to the main 64-megapixel shooter.
The main sensor is the Samsung GW1 64-megapixel camera, in which pixel images are reduced to 16 megapixels to improve image quality. For the most part, the pictures look pretty good. The camera is set to sharpen, and this is especially noticeable in the foliage. The smartphone will show a decent amount of detail, although the highlighting of the pixels indicates aggressive noise reduction. If you take a selfie, this phone will be for you. The wide-angle camera is very good. The 8-megapixel sensor captures quite a few details, although the dynamic range is not as good as that of the main camera.
Video recording on Realme 6 Pro takes place at a speed of 4K at 30 frames per second. Video recording from an ultra-wide camera reaches 1080p at 30 frames per second. Both cameras shoot very detailed, rich video, although, again, a slight increase in sharpness is noticeable.

The camera has both disadvantages and positive aspects. The main focal point module produces good images, but ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses do not always add exposure and white balance. However, front-facing cameras make the Realme 6 Pro a great choice for selfies.
